DANGERS AND SIDE EFFECTS OF STIs.

🔴 1. Infertility (Failure to Have Children)
Untreated STIs like Chlamydia and Gonorrhea can damage reproductive organs.
In women → causes blocked fallopian tubes.
In men → affects s***m production.
This can lead to permanent infertility. 2. Increased Risk of HIV Infection
Having an STI increases chances of getting HIV.
Open sores or inflammation (like from Syphilis or Ge***al herpes) make it easier for HIV to enter the body.
🔴 3. Cancer
Some STIs can cause cancer:
Human papillomavirus → cervical cancer (common in women), also throat and a**l cancer.
Hepatitis B → liver cancer.
🔴 4. Pregnancy Complications
STIs can cause:
Miscarriage
Premature birth
Stillbirth
Babies can be born with infections (congenital STIs).
Example: Syphilis can pass from mother to baby and be fatal.

Severe abdominal pain
Long-term pelvic pain in women
Pain can persist for years.

Some STIs affect internal organs:

Brain
Heart
Nervous system
Hepatitis B damages the liver.

Babies born with untreated STIs may develop:
Blindness
