CBU-ACESM PARTNERS WITH MOPANI COPPER MINES TO EMPOWER WOMEN IN MINING AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME.

We were honoured to partner with Mopani Copper Mines for the Women in Mining Forum and Exhibition, which was held on 29th & 30th March 2023 at Garden Hotel, Kitwe. We are proud to say that this event showcased the contributions of women in the mining sector and created a platform for dialogue and networking. CBU-ACESM is committed to promoting sustainable mining practices that contribute to the social, economic, and environmental well-being of the communities where mining operations occur. We recognize that women play a crucial role in the mining sector and that empowering them is essential for sustainable development. We are excited to work closely with Mopani Copper Mines to develop a Supplier Development Programme to empower local suppliers, including women-owned businesses. MOPANI WOMEN IN MINING FORUM & EXHIBITION 2023

The first CBUACESM Research Day, held on the 8th of December 2022 at the Garden Court Hotel created opportunity for researchers and students to highlight their innovative solutions of various kind torwards mining.

The Finish Ambassador today visited the Center to discuss the existing and future collaborations. She was accompanied by representatives of two finish organizations and discussed possible collaboration in Geomatic engineering and AI.

The hands on short Course training on Internet of Things presented participants with practical knowledge on the far reaching benefits of and cross cutting the digital technology has become.

The 21st October, 2022 Graduation at Copperbelt University main campus, produced among the best Graduates Mr Rabbson Banda a Master of Science in Chemistry graduate and Ms Leah Mate a graduate in Master of Business Administration - General. They are both 2019 cohorts.

Today the 25th July, 2022 mark the official opening of The 2022 training in TREE-RING SCIENCE and it's applications The training aims to impart basic scientific knowledge to participants on the techniques and application of tree-ring science at Mukuba University.
