WHY BE A PART OF THE MOVEMENT

A movement is a grouping of like minded people who comes together to build a stronger voice to press government on issues affecting them.
Note that a known trend is that very few governments will respect a lone voice no matter how good you can be at whatever you will be stating or suggesting.

It is a know position that government listens more and quicker to the voice of a bigger group.
A movement is therefore created to bring together people of like minds to push particular agendas but for them to be respected, their voice must be louder by way of numbers.

A movement is not an enemy of a government infact it is an ally of government if only that government will be willing to meet the demands of such a grouping and if such a government ignores the demnands of such a group then that movement will automatically become a menace to that government and usually such a grouping will go to great length to fight for the removal of such a government because of not respecting the will of the larger group of the people such a movement represents..

It has downed on us today that many voices of reason(Civil society organisations and mere advocates )have died over time, many so called advocates for the welfare of the Zambian people have gone to bed with those in power and there is no one to speak for the poor people anymore .The Members of Parliament who ordinarily should do the Job of speaking for the people have become cowards (dead scared to speak) and the few who are speaking are treated like lepers and not respected at all espcially that the numbers of such are getting fewer by the day because of compromise and fear as well as the need to serve personal interests by many.

The Zmabian people therefore especially the young people who are so maginalised needs to get together to create a platform for them to start speaking for themselves.
The movement therefore being called has been created to bring together young people an

THE MOVEMENT

WHY A MOVEMENT.

When a president is elected,he draws his mandate from the entire citizens to act on their behalf and in their best interest. In short the president is given power to act on their behalf.

When an MP is elected,he draws his madate from the community in that constituency to represent them and so when he or she speaks,he or she is speaking on behalf of the constituents and what he or she says should be taken as though the entire constituents have spoken and failure to listen to him or her is failure to listen to all those people in that constituency.

A movement is a group of people who comes together to push for a particular interest and an example before having been a group of Zambians across the country who saw the need to come together to push government then,to allow multipartism. They put pressure on the late president Kaunda until he gave in for multiparty politics.

Todays biggest problems are governance issues and the failing economy that has led to people living in abject poverty. It is the responsibility of government to find solutions to the economic challenges of the country and the unemployment, poverty and all these economically related problems.
It is also a duty of citizens to hold the government to account on its responsibility to provide good and sound leadership that ensures these aspirationa are met.Remember that we are talking about a country so rich in mineral endowments yet 59 years after attaining its political independence that country called Zambia is still economically enslaved and its citizens are living in abject poverty with only a few citizens in employment but still more those empployed are subjected to slave conditions of service .

We the young people have therefore realised that we have done very little if nothing to press government to act right to ensure adherance to food governance tenets as well as to ensure that Zambia becomes economically independent and not forgetting the need to have
