To be honest with these Zambian politic campaigns ongoing we have to open our minds, eyes and judge with our brains not the heart.

Let me break it down for you. Many of us we will choose someone because of the looks over someone. Remember you're not choosing your love of your life but a leader of the country.

Many of us are choosing because we don't like a certain tribe over the other. Come on guys lets be humans who understand civic, in Zambia we have 72 tribes and we are called zambians as a whole why should one tribe be superior than the other?
Lets choose a leader who will represent us, someone who will attract investors or per say build our economy. Lets choose someone who has knowledge of power to lead.
Lets learn to be content with what we have before we lose it.
In the tenure of HE Hakainde Hichilema I have seen improvements in alot of areas. Let me give an example that everyone will understand: k20 Zambian kwacha is k1,840 Malawian kwacha and N1470 in Nigerian naira. Your friends in other countries are praising and admiring the currency you have which the president has driven and yet you want him out.
Of cause there are other areas where the current government isn't doing well but they are trying to put people's interests first. Even in your house you had a year plan that you wanted to archieve in the year 2025 but till now you have not and you ecpect the current government to do everything in 5years time, country development takes years because it a process. They can't be perfect of course but honestly who's presidential manifesto will benefit Zambians? Same applies to our leaders in our constituencies we know the people who are hardworking on that ballot the people who have been working on the ground even before power but we will choose someone else just because we hate that person naturally. Such is ignorance.
Lets reflect before the 13th some of you were failing to pay school fees for your children but ati he should go. Some even just a a uniform is a challenge to afford.
My point is your bad choice today will also affect the less privileged in one way or the other. Remember where we are coming from and where you are now, Money will always be scarce to find thus its first property so lets not think by choosing a certain leader money will be raining in the streets.
Lets hustle so we don't blame leaders over our own laziness.

Choma Woman R***d Twice on the Same Day

A 35-year-old woman has allegedly been r***d twice on the same day in Choma, Southern province.

The two incidents happened on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, between 03:30 hours and 05 hours in Chandamali township.

Southern Province Police Commanding Officer, Moono Namalongo has confirmed, saying no arrests have been made but investigations are underway.

Mr Namalongo says the woman was first r***d after she asked a male colleague to es**rt her to the toilet during a drinking spree.

He has explained that the woman was only rescued by a member of the neighbourhood watch group but the suspect ran away.

Mr Namalongo has added that the woman was again r***d by another man, who offered to es**rt her home.

He has stated that the suspect instead took the woman to his house within Chandamali compound, where he also r***d her.

Mr Namalongo says the woman sustained a swollen forehead and bruises on the neck during the struggles.

Current Situation at Kaunda Square, Chipata
Armed Police officers have surrounded the Mpezeni Park area at Kaunda Square in Chipata, the venue that had been scheduled to Host a Mega rally by Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance President Brian Mundubile and his running mate, Makebi Zulu.

The development comes following the Electoral Commission of Zambia's (ECZ) decision to suspend all presidential campaign rallies from 20th to 22nd June 2026 as the Commission works on revising and harmonising the campaign schedule.
