ZEHEST CALLS FOR TRANSLATION OF THE REPUBLICAN CONSTITUTION IN ALL LANGUAGES OF ZAMBIA

As Zambian Empowerment hub for Entrepreneurship and Skills Training -ZEHEST, we are calling for the translation of the Republican constitution from English into all local languages of Zambia.
Once this is done, it will enable many citizens to be informed and enhance there participation in Governance issues, the Republican constitution is a national document which each and every citizen must understand and embrace in order to contribute positively and meanginfully to Governance and national economic maters because information is power.

Zambia, s literacy levels are very high more so in the rural areas, so having the national constitution only in English has disadvantaged many citizens in participating in economic affairs of the country.

Many innocent people have been jailed for not understanding the law which is enshrined in our republican constitution.

As an organization ZEHEST, we work to ensure citizens are empowered with information, knowledge and Skills.

Beginning 2024,we shall collaborate with ministry of Justice, Zambia law development commission, curriculum development center,Zamise as well as the media to ensure that the constitution is translated from the queen, s language (English)to all local languages of Zambia.
