SHOULD BELIEVERS MARRY NON BELIEVERS?
We recently ignited a discussion on whether a believer should marry a non believer. A few were unclear, the majority stood firm on Scripture. it is not Godâs design and hereâs why..
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? (2 Cor 6:14)
Marriage is the deepest covenant after salvation. The strength of every structure lies in its foundation and when foundations differ, everything shakes, prayer, purpose, parenting, priorities.
âShe is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.â (1 Cor 7:39)
Paul gives liberty, then adds the boundary. "In the Lord" its not a suggestion. Itâs protection.
This is why the majority in the comments said itâs absolutely wrong. Itâs not legalism at all. Itâs rather wisdom and obedience.
In our comments on our previous post, Sister Glayer shared a powerful testimony, weve attached it to this article.
That is the mercy of God on display. The unbelieving husband has been saved through his wife.â Thatâs grace. Thatâs a miracle.
But note her counsel, âI wouldnât advise it⊠not for the faint-hearted.â
She lived it. She knows the tears, the warfare, the nights of intercession. Her story is not permission. Itâs a warning wrapped in testimony.
God can redeem a marriage. But God also commands us not to enter unequally yoked on purpose. Deut 22:10 _âDo not plow with an ox and a donkey yoked together.â_ One will pull you in the wrong direction.
Dear reader, donât date for potential salvation. Date for purpose. Marry for mission.
To sister Glayer M Mulenga .Thank you for your honesty and for pointing singles back to the Word even through your own story. And we further join your loved ones in wishing you a Happy Birthday!!!

CHRIST CENTERED PASTOR = CHRIST CENTERED CHURCH
Finding a church to belong to..
The pulpit determines what becomes of the pew.If the shepherd isnât eating at the feet of Christ, the sheep will starve or worse, eat gabbage.
A church cannot rise above its pulpit. The pastor sets the diet. If he feeds them materialism, they become materialistic. If he feeds them Christ, they become like Christ.
You canât produce Christ centered people with self centered preaching.
You canât grow mature believers on a diet of, hype, and motivational talks. Give them the word and they will learn to sustain themselves.
If the pastorâs eyes are on Christ, the churchâs eyes will follow. If his eyes are on the crowd, the offering, or his name, the church will worship that too.
Now here is a more crucial thing, After service, who are people talking about?
If they leave saying âPastor preached!â and not âJesus!â the pulpit failed.
If the pastorâs name trends but Christ doesnât, Christ is not the center.
Dear reader, Maturity is fed, not forced! What you're fed at your local church matters.
If the pulpit makes much of the man, the pew will worship the man. If the pulpit makes much of Christ, the pew will look like Christ.
The pew never outgrows the pulpit. Choose your shepherd carefully, when you join a church, you definitely sit under the pastor of that church.
