On a beautiful Sunday we would love to remind of a scripture “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬ .you are capable and able to conquer all trial and tribulations.

𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐃𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥

We have taken note of the concerns raised regarding Learners being temporarily released due to outstanding balances. We appreciate the community for speaking up and for showing care for the well-being of our learners.

As a private institution, the smooth running of the school including payment of teachers, provision of learning materials and meeting operational costs depends entirely on school fees. However, we also recognise the emotional impact that public misunderstandings around fee collection can have on pupils.

Going forward, the school will strengthen its approach to fee management by prioritising private communication with parents and guardians, encouraging structured payment plans and ensuring that learners are not embarrassed in the process.

We kindly urge parents to engage with the school office early where challenges arise, so that supportive arrangements can be made.

Our commitment remains: to provide quality education in a respectful, disciplined and compassionate environment for every child entrusted to us.

School management.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝟮𝟬 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴
One of the simplest habits with the biggest impact on a child’s lifelong success is 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠.
Not long sessions. Not expensive books.
Just 𝟐𝟎 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 a day, consistently.

Here’s what studies show this habit does:

📖 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲
Children who read daily encounter thousands more words than those who don’t , giving them a huge advantage in language and comprehension.

🧠 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠
Regular reading trains the brain to concentrate longer and process information more deeply.

📝 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠
The more learners see words and sentence structures, the more naturally they use them.

🌍 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰
Reading exposes children to new ideas, cultures, and ways of thinking, all from the comfort of home or school.

💛 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠
A quiet reading moment can calm the mind and create a healthy break from screens.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭:

Create a small reading corner at home

Encourage learners to read books they enjoy, not just schoolbooks

Lead by example: let them see YOU reading

Ask simple questions after reading (“What did you enjoy most?”)

How students can practice:

Carry a book everywhere

Replace 10 minutes of screen time with reading

Read with a friend and exchange thoughts

A child who reads becomes a child who thinks.
And a child who thinks becomes an adult who leads

Homework helps reinforce classroom learning and builds self-discipline but when does it become too much?

Yet, education experts are rethinking the balance. Too much homework can lead to stress and burnout especially when it leaves little room for rest, play and family time. Too little on the other hand may weaken study habits and retention.

📘 Should homework be a daily discipline… or a flexible tool used only when needed?

We’d love to hear from you what’s the right balance in your view?

Understanding Dyslexia in Children: Recognising and Supporting Unique Learners

Dyslexia is a learning difference that affects a child’s ability to read, spell, and sometimes write and speak. It is not a sign of low intelligence or laziness — in fact, many children with dyslexia are bright, creative, and gifted in other areas such as problem-solving, music, art, and imagination. They simply process language in a different way.

Early recognition and support can make a life-changing difference for a child with dyslexia. Some common signs include difficulty sounding out words, slow reading, frequent spelling errors, mixing letters like b and d, struggling to follow written instructions, and avoiding reading activities due to frustration.

How to Support a Child With Dyslexia

Children with dyslexia can thrive when they receive understanding and the right learning support. Here are practical tips for parents and teachers:

✅ Be patient and encouraging — confidence is the foundation for progress
✅ Use multisensory learning — combine sight, sound, movement, and touch
✅ Give extra time for reading, spelling, and written tasks
✅ Break information into small, manageable steps
✅ Use phonics-based reading strategies
✅ Allow audiobooks, reading apps, and assistive tools
✅ Celebrate effort, not just results small wins matter

Partner with the school to create a support plan that fits the child’s needs. Remember, every child learns differently, and dyslexia does not limit a child’s potential. With love, patience, and proper guidance, children with dyslexia can excel and build confidence in their abilities.

A child with dyslexia isn’t refusing to learn they are learning in a way uniquely their own. Let’s support them with understanding, compassion, and belief in their future.
