THE GOOD SHEPHERD NEVER SLEEPS.

One day in 1999 (or there about) we were in the bush in Mbala with my cousin James (Jim as we fondly called him) taking care of my father's cattle. All was going well until we reached a somewhat open ground with some good pasture. We sat down and chatted as we watched the cattle graze the pasture. Possibly because we were both tired, we slept off. We woke up and found the cattle were not there, not even a single one. We started following the footsteps and smell of the cattle until we located them. Unfortunately, they had gotten into someone's nice looking green maize field. I was particularly afraid of the kind of insults he would offload on us that evening once he drinks as he usually did and was known for.

David in Psalm 23 describes God as his Shepherd. And in Psalm 100:3 he refers to us as the 'Sheep of God's pasture'. In John 10:11-18 Jesus refers to Himself as the God Shepherd and we are the Sheep.
Sometimes I imagine if God, the Shepherd, used to sleep the way we slept off that day. Where would I be? How many troubles would I land myself into?

PS: Picture for illustration.

Giant Gallstone (Cholelithiasis)
These stones can vary in size and can be as small as a grain of sand or as large as a golf ball. The term cholelithiasis may refer to the presence of gallstones or to any disease caused by gallstones.
