No, every school is not the pit of hell.
No, every public school teacher is not the devil.
No, every school does not secretly transition kids without a parent’s consent.
No, every school does not celebrate pride.
No, every school does not let boys in the girl’s bathroom.
But let me ask you this:
Does your school start the day with Bible reading and prayer? Does the curriculum include the Bible as history? Do your kids learn about biology according to Genesis? Is a boy a boy? Is a girl a girl? Do they read the full text of the U.S. Constitution? Do the teachers respect you as the primary adult and influence in their student’s lives?
Do you have time to discuss world events and ideologies with your teens? Do you know their friends personally? Do you know the content of the history curriculum? Do you know what books are on the school library? Do you know the worldview of all of their teachers? Do you care?
Home education is not about who is the best parent or the best Christian. It is about the hearts and minds of innocent children, and how these are shaped during the most formative years. And all I can say is that those who get angry at homeschoolers like me for shining light on the stark differences just have no idea how big those differences are.
I wish they did.
