Inspiring Young Minds Through History

Our school was privileged to host Dr. Mojuta Motlhamme, a professor from North-West University (NWU), who delivered an insightful and motivational address to both our General Education and Training (G.E.T.) and Further Education and Training (F.E.T.) learners.

Drawing from his expertise in History, with a special focus on the life and leadership of Lucas Manyane Mangope, Dr. Motlhamme encouraged learners to appreciate the importance of understanding South Africa's rich historical heritage. He emphasized how history shapes identity, inspires critical thinking, and equips young people to become informed and responsible citizens.

His engaging presentation challenged learners to pursue academic excellence, embrace lifelong learning, and recognize that education is a powerful tool for creating opportunities and making a positive impact in society.

Dear Parent/Guardian

You are hereby informed that learners will have an opportunity to attend the North-West University Mafikeng Campus Open Day on Saturday, 23rd May 2026.

The purpose of the visit is to expose learners to different study opportunities, career paths, admission requirements and campus life at university. Learners will also have an opportunity to interact with lecturers, current students and faculty representatives.

Date: Saturday, 23rd May 2026
Venue: North West University - Mafikeng Campus
Departure Time: 06h30 am
Transport: R250.00

Parents/Guardians are kindly requested to grant permission for their child to attend the open day.

Learners are expected to be punctual, behave responsibly and represent the school in a respectful manner at all times
