What makes the Africa Bootcamp a must do? Its unique, its fast and it involves serious play – with people!

• Firstly we have a unique combination of facilitators and coaches that will push your boundaries and world views on how to innovate effectively

• Secondly we are focused on how to do life-centred design and creating shared value while working on SDG’s related to an industry related challenge

• Thirdly, we try as hard as possible to simulate design sprints as they could be run in your organisation which gives you the muscle memory to do it beyond the training

• Fourthly, you have the option to take the concepts further in your organisation and DesignThinkers will support concept development beyond the Bootcamp to its fruition

• Finally your concept or a derivate thereof can be pitched at the Open Design festival to a Dragon’s Den at the end of October to obtain seed funding or ….

Jani de K**k is a master researcher and will facilitate the sense-making component of the Bootcamp.

Jani helps brands and organizations understand their employees, customers and stakeholders. Brands she has worked on include MasterCard, Coca-Cola, KFC, BP, Nickelodeon, Sanlam, Johnson and Johnson and many more. She is also proud to have consulted to The United Nations.

She believes one can tell a lot about a place from its Supermarkets.

Vuyisa Qabaka, or Chief as he is affectionately known, has spent the past 12 years setting up creative business strategies and innovation hubs, like Nigeria, Kenya, Malaysia and Israel and in multiple African countries. He is a qualified lean start-up trainer and small business advisor, investor and capital fundraiser. He consults at executive committee level, with a focus on offbeat social initiatives, and bringing disruptive market positioning.

Vu joins our Bootcamp as co-host and facilitator and with his past experience as TV presenter of Business Beat on Cape Town TV, he brings a great energy to the room!
