The annual Kay Motsepe Cup kicked off Saturday, 6 August 2022. The Cape Winelands district had 8 school, whereby only two schools could qualify for the next round of the Motsepe cup. Our boys made us proud by winning all their matches. Thus, Somerset High and Zwelethemba High qualified and will represent our District in the next round at the Regional qualifiers. A huge congratulations to Lithetha Louw who scored all our winning goals. The Sport committee and all learners are very proud of our boys.

The following "Violence Prevention Initiative" is a program run by the WCED for youth between the ages of 18 - 34 in the Cape Winelands District for Rawsonville, Zweletemba and Worcester. The initiative aims tot test the programme with small groups of learners in grade 8 and 9 in assisting with their social and emotional development. Application forms are available at the School's office.

Once the application has been submitted successfully, a PRINTED SIGNED COPY with all relevant documents must be submitted to the school.

Submission of application does not indicate that the learner was accepted at Somerset High School.

The closing date for 2023 Applications is 15 April 2022.

Failing to submit application. Parents/Guardian must collect a manual application form at the school (manual application forms will only be available after the closing date 15 April 2022) All manual applications will be placed on a waiting list.
