About the school
Our preparatory school caters for children 0 months to 6 years old and has a fantastic well equipped floor space, as well as a large shaded, outdoor area with a sandpit. The name ‘Cumi’ is taken from the Biblical “Talita cumi” meaning ‘young girl arise.’

Various activities
To keep your child entertained and stimulated during their learning, numerous activities have been set up around the school. These include various play equipment structures and toys that cater for boys and girls of different ages, an art corner to bring out their creative side and a television screening, a large collection of children’s DVD’s and programmes. With all these diversions, your child won’t even notice you’re not around!

Outdoors play area
The school boasts a secured, spacious and shaded outdoor area where children are able to play in the fresh air. The facilities have a sand pit, a soft play surface and outdoor play equipment. A hat is recommended during the summer months.

Friendly and experienced staff
We only employ caring staff who are trained in Child-Care, Early Childhood Development and First-Aid and are committed to adhering to rigid health and hygiene standards.

Opening Times
Mondays to Fridays 7.00am – 18:00 pm during school days to accommodate working parents.
Parents can make an arrangement with the school in case they need our child care services even during school holidays.

Fees
Infants from 0 – 1 year old = R550 per month (excluding registration fee);
Infacnts from 1 - 4 years old = R500 per month (excluding registration fee);
Children from 5 - 6 years = R450 per month (excluding registration fee);
Affer Care = R250 per child per month (excluding registration fee);
1 Day Care Servcie = R50 per child

Registration Bookings
Under normal circumstances registration takes place before end of November each year; however, given that parents do move at any time due to work related reasons, the school will be at liberty to register children at any time of the year.
A non-refundable registration fee of R200, 00 is payable at the time of submitting the application form.

Cancellations
At least 30 working days’ notice must be given for cancellations.

Please label your children’s bag, dummy, bottles, pram and any other belongings.

Parents are required to supply the following:
• All necessities (toilet provisions i.e. disposable nappies, wet wipes and change of clothing for emergencies) and babies food for infants (0 – 3 years) every day.
• 1 set of baby wipes; 1 box of tissues and 2 toilet rolls for children from 2 - 6 per month.
• Hats are required during the summer months
The school will serve children with soft porridge/matabella at 08:00 a.m.; and a full meal at 13:00 p.m. each day (Please give them lunchboxes, i.e. a light meal/snack for 11: 00 a.m and 15:00 respectively.

Operating hours
The school normally starts operating from 08:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m.
Arrivals can be anytime from 07:00 a.m. for working parents.
The school closes its gates at 18:00 each day; children can be fetched anytime until 18:00.
