Last week, a number of our learners took part in the KZNCSSA Track & Field Championships, representing Kainon with enthusiasm and determination.

We saw some fantastic results and are incredibly proud of every learner who participated and gave it their all.

Our Grade 2s had a very special visit to Providence, where they spent the morning singing songs, sharing stories and bringing plenty of smiles along the way.

Our Grade Rs love being part of the wider Primary School community! Today, snack time looked a little different as they headed outside to the picnic tables and enjoyed watching our Grade 2s take on P.E. on the Astro.

Sometimes, it’s the simplest moments that make school days so special. ✨

Our Grade 3s had so much fun hosting their very own bake sale — working together, serving others and, of course, enjoying plenty of delicious treats along the way!

It’s been a busy week at Kainon so far!

From our Grade Rs bringing phonics to life through art, to our Grade 2s heading to the farm for a day of hands-on discovery. Our Grade 3s took Maths beyond the classroom and into the garden, while our little Red Group learners explored the important people who help us — complete with their very own handmade stethoscopes! 🩺🌿🚜🎨

Our Grade 6s have also been putting science into practice, learning about circuits and electricity before successfully rewiring plugs and getting their lamps working — a useful real-life skill and a proud moment for all! 💡

Different ages, different adventures, and plenty of opportunities to learn by doing, creating and exploring.

Our Grade Rs are building strong foundations in phonics through movement and play — hopping from letter to letter, practising each sound and then blending them together to form words.

Making learning memorable, meaningful and lots of fun! ⭐️

Yesterday, our campus was buzzing with excitement as we kicked off Term 3 by celebrating 100 Days of School!

Our learners embraced the occasion by dressing up as adorable 100-year-olds, bringing plenty of laughter, creativity and character to the day. From walking sticks to grey hair and spectacles, the effort was incredible!

Here’s to another exciting term filled with learning, growth, and memorable moments at Kainon. 🤍

The Grade 4, 5 and 6 children had an exciting excursion to Greystone Adventure Centre in Estcourt. 🥾

The focus of the camp was on leadership and the children took part in various team building activities. Team building activities promote essential interpersonal and personal skills such as communication, empathy, problem-solving, and resilience.

By participating in these games, children learn to actively listen, respect diverse perspectives, and work harmoniously towards a shared goal.

What a wonderful opportunity for growth outside the classroom as we head into the holidays.🤩
