FSSGI MATRIC PREPARATION PROGRAMME I LENAKENG TECHNICAL SCHOOL I WELKOM
Yesterday we spent the day at Lenakeng Technical School in Welkom for the second last Matric Presentation Programme (MPP) in Lejweleputswa Education District (LED). Welcome by the rain when we arrived, the day went smoothly and we managed to achieve what the programme was intended for which is to support and prepare our learners for the National Senior Certificate (NSC).
The Matric Preparation Programme (MPO) is an intensive programme blending training of learners in Study Skills and Techniques, Life Skills Education as well as several layers of data collection methods aimed at identifying challenges and barriers that may lead to learners failing.
So far we have ran a programme at two (2) schools and the response from the learners indicates that indeed this programme was needed as part of Learning and Teaching Support Material (LTSM). We are left with just one training workshop in Lejweleputswa Education District for Phehello Secondary School in Odendaalsrus before we move to Thabo Mofutsanyana Education District (LED).
You may get into contact with the Free State Schools Governance Institute (FSSGI) to participate in the programme although the time frame before the examination starts on the 15th of October 2026.
