Goldfields TVET College Celebrates Heritage Day! 🇿🇦
Yesterday, Goldfields TVET College came together across all campuses TOSA Campus, Welkom Campus, Central Office, and the Skills & Innovation Centre to celebrate the richness and diversity of our South African heritage. ❤️💚💛💙

The day was filled with good food, laughter, music, culture, and the celebration of our different traditions. 🍲🎶💃🏾

👰🏾‍♀️💍 Central Office gave us a glimpse into a traditional Sotho wedding, with a lively presentation of Sotho lobola negotiations.

👰🏾‍♀️🌿 Welkom Campus showcased a Xhosa wedding tradition, including the welcoming of their bride.

Moving from policy to practice! ✊♿
Day 2 of the 3rd Disability Inclusive Capacity Development Workshop—hosted in partnership with UNISA ARCSWiD—was packed with actionable insights. Under the theme "From Policy to Practice: Reviewing and Strengthening Disability Inclusive Policy and Procedures," today was all about making inclusion a seamless reality.
Our speakers and attendees tackled critical areas, including:
• How to turn policy into practical procedures, forms, and clear ownership, hand-oofs, turnaround times, communication, escalation, and closure.
• Best practices for assistive technology, procurement, asset control, staff training, and continuity arrangements.
• Managing disability data responsibly through POPIA-aligned record keeping and tracking student success.
True inclusion requires robust systems, and today brought us one step closer to that goal!
