Early Childhood Development girls recently completed their final practical project for the year – creating Quiet Books from felt.
What makes this project even more special is that every book was made entirely by hand. Learners did not use sewing machines; each stitch, page, and activity was carefully sewn and assembled by hand, requiring patience, precision, and dedication.
Through this project, learners developed valuable practical skills while gaining a deeper understanding of how educational resources can support young children's development. Quiet Books help promote fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving skills, concentration, language development, and learning through play.
We are incredibly proud of the creativity, perseverance, and craftsmanship demonstrated by our girls. Their hard work is reflected in every page they created.
Well done, Year 4 ECD girls!
