It all began in 1931, when First National Battery was established in East London and began producing automotive batteries, becoming South Africa’s first manufacturer of starter batteries for vehicles. In 1969, First Battery Centre opened its doors in Bloemfontein. Today, with a nationwide network of 150 First Battery Centres, we’re proud of the journey we’ve shared with our customers, franchisees and partners.
