CUT SRC 2021/2022

Dear Students

Kindly take note that the SRC had intended to convene an urgent Mass Meeting to report out from office and to discuss issues which are prevailing in our Institution particularly in Welkom Campus, precisely around Assessments and Registrations, and Finances. As we are quite aware that most of the student have not participated in the mid-year examinations and as a result, were unable to register and some of the students, are still having financial crisis with NSFAS and the institution as is entrusted to distribute Student's allowances accordingly.

We are therefore challenged by fairly minor setbacks from the office of the Registrar which seeks to suggest that the current SRC is not legible to sustain the status of representing the students, furthermore, it was stated that the SRC members serving in the SRC are ineligible to continue serving due to academic legibility.

The situation is indeed severe, and in situations like this, we need to be more vigilance and tactic in approach.
We just need to bring this factore to your attention.

Dear Students

We are quite aware of the situation which is leading to confusion and frustration to you, more especially on the question of Assessments, Results, Registrations, and unfoldings of second semester.

Your frustration is genuine and noted, on our side as the Statutory body, we are exploring all avenues in circumventing these challenges.
Over and above, we would like you to know that we are with you all in these trying times, there will be no point at any give time wherein the current SRC incumbent shall leave you alone on your struggles. You are our brothers and sisters in arms.

We are also hoping to meet you all on an Imbizo, to afford you time to officially ventilate your issues and concerns, and to also afford ourselves an opportunity to can collectively strategize possible way forwards in combating these challenges that we are experiencing, but then we are aware that most of you are on Practicals, that's where we are experiencing a challenge of scheduling an Imbizo. However, we shall communicate date and time as in when we have figured proper timing for an Imbizo.
