Behind every successful hostel is a dedicated team working tirelessly behind the scenes. 💙

Today we would like to recognise our hostel assistants, Slungile Mzobe, Nelly Chamane, and Nokphiwa Hadebe, for the important role they play in the day-to-day running of our hostel.

From preparing meals and cooking to cleaning and maintaining a welcoming environment, their hard work, care, and commitment help create a home away from home for our boarders. Their efforts contribute greatly to the wellbeing and comfort of our learners each day.

Our Grade 3 learners recently enjoyed an exciting and educational visit to the KwaZulu-Natal Museum with Mrs Botha 🐜🦋📚

A highlight of the trip was the Invertebrate Display, which linked perfectly with the insect theme currently being explored in class. Guided by the knowledgeable Ms G, learners discovered fascinating facts about insects and other invertebrates, including the incredible strength of ants, which can carry up to 50 times their own body weight!

The class also explored the museum galleries, completed activities in their museum booklets, learned about South Africa's diverse cultures and animal groups, and enjoyed a visit to the FIFA gallery.

It was a day filled with curiosity, discovery, and hands-on learning. Our learners returned with plenty of new knowledge, wonderful memories, and lots of questions to continue exploring in the classroom. ✨

Spicing things up at the Rencken Centre Potjie Competition 🌶️🔥

Our amazing team brought the flavour with a delicious beef potjie and a beautifully themed display inspired by “Spice.” From preparation to presentation, there was so much laughter, teamwork, and creativity in every moment.

It was a fantastic day of connection and community spirit, where we not only showcased our cooking skills but also enjoyed spending time together outside the classroom. We are incredibly proud of our staff for representing the school with such enthusiasm and heart.

A truly memorable experience and a wonderful reminder of the power of teamwork and community support! 🥘✨
