The Vredefort Hartshuis is an alternative urban group-housing care model appropriate for destitute, care-dependent SASSA disability pensioners, providing in the most basic human needs: shelter, security & Safety, food & water, clothing, electricity, health care, and peaceful rest. The concept values spiritual systems and have human health at the core. The main milestone is to improve living standards, not only for our residents, but the entire Vredefort community.

Your vote can help me to erect more nano-eco-cabins (tiny houses) and ultimately develop a comprehensive and holistic “care model” that can be duplicated across South Africa, to accommodate elderly people in need, especially those with unique psychiatric needs and physical disabilities. Replicating the alternative urban model will address issues of affordable housing for destitute pensioners.

My vision is to develop the micro settlement into a social enterprise & green initiative with hydro/chicken farming, waste management, rainwater harvesting & vertical farming, utilizing SunPower & nano-eco-cabin-accommodation for destitute SASSA disability pensioners. The main milestone is to improve health & living standards, endorse physical, mental and spiritual well-being to the most vulnerable and marginalized groups in society: the elderly, the disabled and mentally ill.
