The 24th-31st of July, the grades 4 and up had the opportunity to build 300-500pc puzzles.

It was an awesome experience watching them start. It started with: 'Ma'am, there are pieces missing of this puzzle', and 'Ma'am, this is so hard.'

The complaining eventually moved to: 'Ma'am, could we please have time to finish our puzzle?'

When they had completed their puzzle it was amazing to see their faces, they were proud of themselves for completing their puzzle, the joy of a project completed..

From this experience I had: 'Ma'am, when may we build another puzzle?'

It might just be a puzzle, but that puzzle has the potential to show them perseverance, to show them a puzzle can be solved, it gave them self confidence to try a new puzzle..

So a challenge for all of you reading this: Have some family time and build a puzzle.

Volksrust Christian Private school offers an international curriculum that is Biblically based.

This curriculum is CAPS aligned, meaning the curriculum teaches the students the same material and more as what the student would learn at another public institution.

The A.C.E. curriculum is a mastery-based curriculum (CAPS aligned), ensuring students only progress academically if they have fully grasped the material. Your students are not pushed forward or held back by age or grade level.

Each student receives individual attention, as they learn to master the concepts independently.

Make an appointment and come visit the school, and you will see your child will grow holistically: Emotional, Physical, Mentally and Spiritually, creating leaders who are willing to make a difference.

Invest in your child's life, train him up in the way God wants him to grow and come and apply.

Registrations are open for 2027 ,and there is still some limited space for this year.

School office will be open on Monday, 20 July from 9-12 am due to the holiday. From Tuesday the 21 July it will be the normal school hours 07:30-13:30.

We hosted an awesome family night on the 22 June...

Families could have a sit down meal with their families and friends. They got to eat a delicious vetkoek with mince, which was ordered from VanOs Bakery..

Volksrust School of Hope would like to thank the bakery for our delicious meal.

Everyone then went and watched an awesome Movie: David from Angel Studios.

On the 19th June, the students had a fun day: learning a life skill.

SEWING 🧵🪡🧵🪡..

They learnt how to design patterns, how to sew Buttons, and finish a project...

The juniors made a teddy and the seniors planned and designed a pillow.

The creativity that was shown on the day was awe inspiring and amazing.

Well done Team you were all awesome. We are proud of each creation.

Our field trip was a little bit different in term 1. The 25th March was international waffle day. It was a fun and yummy morning at Volksrust Christian Private School.

Each student made their own waffles and had some toppings...

They made some crazy shapes, had ice cream on their waffle.. they could decide if they want chocolate sauce or syrup on their waffles..

It was a day filled with games, making a yummy pudding and eating it of course.

Each student had a relaxing day before their holiday started...
