Support Our Grade 12s as They Face the National Senior Certificate (NSC) Trial Exams
The Grade 12 NSC Trial Examinations (Preparatory Exams) are right around the corner. This is one of the most critical milestones in our Matrics' academic journey—it serves as both a final practice run before the final end-of-year exams and a crucial set of results used for provisional tertiary applications.
While our teachers are working tirelessly in the classroom to ensure learners are academically prepared, the home environment plays an equally vital role in their success. We appeal to all parents and guardians to partner with us during this high-pressure period.

Child Protection Awareness Initiative

The School-Based Support Team (SBST) recently took the initiative to raise awareness about child protection and the importance of keeping our children safe. Through this programme, learners were encouraged to understand their rights, recognize unsafe situations, and support one another in creating a caring and protective school environment.

As a school community, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued. Protecting children is a shared responsibility that requires the involvement of parents, educators, learners, and the wider community.

Together, let us continue to promote a culture of care, respect, and protection for all children.

🌟 FROM THEU-THEU PRIMARY TO NEW OPPORTUNITIES 🌟

Theu-Theu Primary School proudly celebrates a remarkable achievement that reflects the true meaning of dedication, resilience, and the power of opportunity.

In 2025, while serving as an Education Assistant at the school, Mr Xolani Khulile Mntambo identified a group of learners who demonstrated exceptional academic potential, strong character, and a willingness to succeed despite challenging circumstances. Recognising their talent, he took the initiative to assist them in applying for the SANRAL Scholarship Programme.

The application process was not easy, requiring commitment, coordination with parents, and careful submission of documents. However, through perseverance and belief in the learners, five of our learners have successfully been awarded this prestigious scholarship.

These learners have now taken a bold step into a new chapter of their academic journey, having been placed in a well-resourced boarding school where they will have access to quality education, structured support, and broader opportunities to grow.

This achievement is a powerful reminder of the importance of recognising and nurturing young talent. It also reflects the impact that guidance, mentorship, and community support can have in transforming lives.

Theu-Theu Primary School would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to the learners for their hard work and determination. We also express our sincere gratitude to Mr Xolani Mntambo for his dedication and commitment to uplifting learners and creating opportunities where they are needed most.

We further thank the parents and the community for their support, as well as the SANRAL Scholarship Programme for investing in the future of our children.

This moment truly reflects the spirit of growth and possibility —
“Where potential meets opportunity.”

We wish our learners all the best as they begin this exciting journey. Continue to make us proud and never stop believing in yourselves.

The future is bright. ✨
