On the 23rd of April, our Grade 12 Physical Science learners visited North-West University to complete an SBA practical on acid-base titration. 🧪
An acid-base titration is a laboratory technique used to determine the concentration of an unknown solution by reacting it with a solution of known concentration. By carefully adding one solution to another and observing a colour change (using an indicator), learners are able to identify the exact point of neutralisation — where the acid and base perfectly balance each other.
This hands-on experience allowed our learners to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real laboratory setting, sharpening their practical skills and deepening their understanding of key scientific concepts.
We are proud of their focus, curiosity, and commitment to excellence as they continue to grow as young scientists. 🔬
Thank you to the Vaal for hosting our school and providing all the necessary instruments for this excursion.

Congratulations to our Grade 8 and 9 learners for their outstanding achievements in the IEB International Benchmark Tests.
They obtained certificates of high distinction and distinction in English and Mathematics.
Well done, superstars!⭐️

From theory to reality 🔬
Our Life Sciences learners recently explored the effects of alcohol exposure during pregnancy through a practical investigation focused on breast milk and foetal development. By simulating real-world conditions, they were able to observe how substances can transfer and the potential impact this has on growth and development.
This practical sparked meaningful conversations about responsibility, informed choices, and the science behind Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). More than just a test, it was a powerful reminder of how biology connects directly to real lives.
Proud of our learners for approaching this sensitive topic with maturity, curiosity, and critical thinking 👏

Grade 6 got hands-on in the science class this week as they carried out a starch test practical. Using iodine solution, learners investigated different foods to discover which ones contain starch and which ones do not.
There were plenty of curious minds, careful observations and a few surprised reactions as the iodine changed colour, revealing the presence of starch right before their eyes. Experiments like these bring science to life and help learners understand how the foods we eat are made up of different nutrients.
Well done to our Grade 6 learners for their enthusiasm, teamwork and excellent investigative skills. Science is always more exciting when you can see it happen!

When the Eagles meet the Falcons, it’s more than just a match — it’s our school’s version of the legendary Soweto Derby. 🔥⚽
Inspired by the fierce rivalry between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, the field came alive with colour, energy and unstoppable school spirit. Colours were worn with pride, chants echoed from the sidelines, and every tackle, pass and goal carried the weight of friendly rivalry.
The Eagles soared. The Falcons struck. And the crowd made sure every moment felt like a final match.
Win or lose, what stood out most was the passion, the sportsmanship and the way our school came together for a game that felt bigger than just football.
Some rivalries never get old.

This term, our Grade 4s rolled up their sleeves and planted sunflower seeds as part of their science experiment — exploring what plants need to grow and how environment affects development. Over the weeks, they will carefully water, measure, record observations, and (let’s be honest) cheer their plants on like proud parents.
They didn’t just learn about photosynthesis and life cycles. They learned patience, responsibility, and the thrill of seeing effort turn into something tall and golden.
Soon our classroom windows will be framed with bright, beaming sunflowers — living proof that when you give something sunlight, care, and consistency… it grows.
We’re so proud of these budding scientists 🌱🌻

Busy hands, growing minds, and hearts learning with purpose 🌱✨
Every day in our classrooms, we see focus, effort, and kindness in action. We are so proud of our learners as they work diligently, support one another, and shine their God-given gifts.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” — Colossians 3:23
Building faith, knowledge, and character—together. 🙏📚

Spain proved to be an unforgettable chapter in Tristan Foxcroft’s rugby journey. From the vibrant streets of Valencia to the energy of Barcelona, the tour offered more than just breathtaking scenery and incredible food — it showcased Spain’s deep passion for the game.
Competing abroad, experiencing different rugby cultures, and representing his school on an international stage made this tour a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and a defining highlight of his Grade 11 year.
We are incredibly proud of Tristan and the way he represented our school both on and off the field.

We are incredibly proud to recognise and celebrate Jodey Rocha, whose exceptional achievement of 7 distinctions is a true reflection of his dedication, discipline, and perseverance.
In recognition of this outstanding accomplishment, Jodey has been awarded a R10 000 gift to support his further studies and invest in the bright future ahead of him. 🌟
Well done, Jodey — you make our school immensely proud.
To all our Matrics of 2025, once again: congratulations on your commitment, resilience, and effort throughout your final year. Your achievements are worth celebrating, and we wish you every success in the journeys that lie ahead. 🎓
