Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are proud to announce that our Vaal High School Choir and Drama learners performed exceptionally well at the Sedibeng West D8 ABC Motsepe SASCE District Competitions this past weekend.

Our learners brought home an outstanding total of 14 trophies, making Vaal High School the school that achieved the highest level of success across all the categories in which we participated. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of our learners and coaches.

We are excited to share that all our Position 1 and Position 2 winners have qualified to represent not only Vaal High School, but the entire Sedibeng West D8 District (including Vanderbijlpark, Sebokeng, Bophelong and surrounding areas) at the Regional Competitions.

*Regional Competition Details*
📅 Date: Saturday, 13 June 2026
📍 Venue: Nkone Maruping Primary School, Soweto

At the regional competition, our learners will compete against representatives from:
• Sedibeng East District
• Gauteng West District
• Johannesburg West District

As preparations intensify, we kindly request parents and guardians to encourage and support learners in attending all rehearsals scheduled from:

*Tuesday to Friday*
⏰ 11:00 – 15:00

We humbly ask parents to assist with transport arrangements where possible and to motivate learners to remain committed during this important preparation period.

Please note that all Choir and Drama learners, including those who may not have performed last Friday, are requested to attend rehearsals and participate in the choir's regional performance in Soweto.
