Things are going well with our team from Scotland. Great tracking conditions have prevailed, until today. The rain fell last night, bringing mud...which will harden in the sun over the coming days. It sometimes makes finding questions for our evaluation a little tricky, but it will be fun nonetheless!

A typical morning here at NGT. Looking at the dirt, learning from Kersey Lawrence, deepening our understanding of tracks. It's how we roll.

Here are a few last images from our latest program. Our team of skilled trackers from Holland, led by Jeroen Kloppenberg and Tom Dekker, has now headed home, and will certainly be missed. They are all wonderful people, with a ton of passion for wildlife tracking. Birds, plants, mammals, dung, geology, ecology and absolutely everything else you can think of became a topic for some of our discussions. We had a human history and paleoanthropological chat, and an astronomy session, and lots and lots of fun and great food, cooked by our lovely chef, Patricia. We look forward to seeing you all again.

Seems like we are having a bit of a leopard week. This beautiful young male was at the Biyamithi Weir. He really wanted me to take notice...and I certainly did.

Another amazing sighting. Our students have really been fortunate so far. This shy leopard slowly emerged from the thickets, after watching us, as we sat in silence waiting for her.

Another calm day in the bush.

Rolling along with our most recent university group from the USA, tracking as always, with a wonderful mix of wildlife our sightings have included a fleeting glimpse of some new lion cubs. The dry weather has presented us with some very clear spoor, and the students seem to be having a great time.
