Ladies High Tea Hosted by the Mthatha Anglican Diocesan Choir

**Theme: “They will be like a tree planted by the water…” – Jeremiah 17:8**

The Diocesan Choir hosted a meaningful and uplifting Ladies High Tea centred on the theme of Jeremiah 17:8 which speaks of a tree firmly planted by the waters, bearing fruit and remaining fruitful even in challenging seasons.

The event created a beautiful space for women to pause, reflect, connect and pour into themselves recognising that they can only continue to pour into their families, churches and communities when they are also intentional about their own spiritual, emotional and physical wellbeing.

The programme opened with a reflection from Ven. Masabalala who shared from Isaiah 64:1 setting a prayerful and expectant tone for the gathering.

The Chairperson, Dr. Kauleza spoke on the importance of networking and personal growth, encouraging women to build meaningful relationships, support one another and continually seek opportunities for development.

Ms Nqatyelwa focused on healthy habits and self-care reminding the women of the importance of taking care of themselves and making intentional choices that contribute to their overall wellbeing.

The conversation continued with Mrs Masindwa who addressed the topic of raising boys and girls. She highlighted the importance of understanding each child's individuality, personality and needs, while intentionally establishing strong relationships and foundations during their upbringing.

The Guest Speaker, Mrs Taleni, delivered an inspiring and empowering message. She encouraged women to pick themselves up, embrace opportunities to learn something new and remain rooted in Christ. She reminded the women that, like a tree planted by streams of water, they can bloom and flourish when they are firmly grounded in God. Her message encouraged women to confidently occupy and contribute meaningfully to the spaces in which they find themselves.

The gathering encouraged women to invest in themselves, strengthen their relationship with Christ, support one another and continue growing so that they can bloom in every space they are called to occupy and, in turn, pour back into their communities.
