The mission is not only to help the students but to also groom other facilitators of learning 👨🏾‍🏫 This our are social responsiveness and if we can do at University of Fort Hare then we can do it in every other institution.

Algebraic functions have scared a lot of Grade 11/12 Pure Mathematics learners with questions like:

1. For which value of x will:
f(x-2).g'x < 0, f(x)/h(-x) >/= 0, x^3.f^(-1)(x) < 0, etc.

2. Determine the values of k for which f(x) + k has:
two distinct roots, axactly 1 real root or no real roots.

3. If A and B are points on f and g respectively such that AB is parallel to the y-axis, determine the maximum/minimum length of AB.

There are many varieties and some learners skip these questions without hesitation. Others attempt substituting equations and end up with expressions they can't simplify. Today, we dedicated our time to unpacking the techniques of analysing the graphs to solve these problems with litle to no calculations.

GradeUp has to release a guid for these type of questions as they appeare in many sections like trigonometric functions, analytical geometry, and calculus.
