Today we marched together in Mthatha for Deaf Awareness Month.

A big appreciation to everyone who joined:
- Hearing colleagues from the Department of Public Works
- CODAs (Children of Deaf Adults)
- The Deaf Community
- OR Tambo Deaf Association (ORTDA)
- Deaf learners and educators from Efata School for the Deaf and Blind

We marched together for one goal: to celebrate South African Sign Language, Deaf culture, and Deaf education equality.

Today, the Deaf staff alongside sign language interpreter from Efata School for the Deaf and Blind went to UCR FM for Deaf Awareness Month (1-30 September).

They shared information about Deaf culture and celebrated South African Sign Language as an official language.
