Among the many opportunities Canaan College offers, peer mentoring, spearheaded by Ayabonga Kweyama, a Grade 12 learner, is one that makes a meaningful difference.

Peer mentoring connects learners with fellow learners who can offer guidance, encouragement and support. It helps learners build confidence, develop communication and leadership skills, strengthen relationships and navigate challenges with the reassurance that they are not alone.

It’s about creating a school environment where learners learn from one another, grow together and feel supported every step of the way.
Because education is not only about what happens in the classroom — it’s about developing confident, capable young people who are always willing to extend a hand!

16 AUGUST - Top 5 confirmed
Voting narrows the field to the five most-nominated entrepreneurs.
23 AUGUST - Winner announced🏆
The votes are tallied across WhatsApp and social platforms, with the entrepreneur receiving the highest total taking the win.

Our IT & CAT learners recently had the opportunity to participate in an IT Experience Excursion at STADIO Musgrave, giving them valuable exposure to the world of technology, innovation and further study opportunities.

Experiences like these allow our learners to connect what they learn in the classroom with the real world, broaden their understanding of technology and begin envisioning the possibilities that await them beyond school. 🚀

A special thank you to STADIO Musgrave for being such wonderful hosts and for creating an enriching experience for our learners. We truly appreciate the opportunity to expose our learners to environments that inspire learning, curiosity and future possibilities.
