Vukuzakhe Secondary School was built in 1971 the first principal was Mr I.S Gubheka.in 2009 Miss D.N Fulela who was teaching English since 1983 became the principal but she retired in 2020.

In 2021 January, Mrs Mthembu an English teacher too became an acting principal since Miss D.N Fulela had retired.

Is to provide high quality education in Science,Technology and Commerce in a multicultural society and produce sport persons of a high calibre.

Vukuzakhe Secondary/High School is aslo a boarding school,it provides education for pupils who live on the premises as opposed to a day school.Boarding school students focus better on their studies because television,video games,phones and other distractors are limited.
