A fantastic achievement on the tennis court for two of our Felixton College pupils!

We are immensely proud of Alex de Gouveia from our Junior School and Storm Weaver from our High School, who both performed exceptionally well at the recent District Tennis rounds.

Seeing pupils from across our school excel and progress in the sports they are passionate about is always something worth celebrating. Alex and Storm, congratulations on this wonderful achievement and for representing Felixton College with such pride.

A special thank you to their coaches for the time and dedication invested in developing their skills, and to their parents for the continued support behind their tennis journeys.

Another great afternoon of Junior School soccer on our home fields as we welcomed Heuwelland Primary School recently to Felixton College.

Our pupils took to the field with enthusiasm and determination, enjoying another opportunity to develop their game, play as a team and proudly represent Felixton College.

Thank you to our coaches for the time and encouragement they continue to invest in our teams and to our parents and supporters for always being there on the sidelines. We love seeing our fields filled with sport, school spirit and our wider community!

Our Junior Primary Bunnies Tennis gives our Grade 1 to 3 pupils the opportunity to start building the foundations of their game, learning new skills, developing coordination and confidence, and, most importantly, enjoying their time on the court.

We are proud of our young tennis players for representing Felixton College so beautifully. These are the early stages of their tennis journeys, and we cannot wait to watch their skills continue to grow in the years ahead.

WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE YOU?

Jadyn would rather be in the bushveld than in an office. She would also be happy to dance with someone she does not really like, as long as they are wearing vellies' and it is to a
'sokkie-treffer'.
She was voted most likely to quit her job on a whim and hunt all over the world.

After matriculating, Jadyn’s life followed an unusual and daring path, taking on a 7 month Professional Hunters Course as well as a Buffalo course after which she then conducted guided hunts with international clients for a year. This included dangerous game hunts such as buffalo, crocs and hippos.

Jaydn now works as a videographer for hunting safaris. She films a clients hunt and then edits it for their personal footage as well as for marketing purposes.

‘My main goal is to educate people about the importance of hunting for wildlife conservation, and show that there is more to hunting than taking a trophy.’

Our Felixton College equestrian riders represented us with pride at the Dayspring Inter-schools Competition, achieving some fantastic results in the arena.

Illeana Bell, riding Dayspring’s Onyx, competed in the 40cm and 50cm classes and completed three beautifully ridden clear rounds.

Megan Ge**er, riding Saratoga Vitesse and Prince Karlyl, competed across the 60cm, 70cm and 80cm classes, achieving an outstanding five 1st places and one 3rd place.

Caitlin Smith, riding Dayspring’s Freebie, completed two clear rounds in the 40cm classes and secured a 3rd place in the 50cm class.

Together, their performances and points placed Felixton College 4th overall, a wonderful achievement for our riders.

We were also excited to see our new Felixton College-branded jump making its appearance at the event, another special touch of Felixton College pride in the arena.

Congratulations, Illeana, Megan and Caitlin. We love celebrating the dedication and achievements of our pupils as they pursue their passions beyond the classroom.

From our littlest Roots Pre-primary pupils right through to our High School, the Felixton College family recently came together for a Civvies Day in support of Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife and Rhino conservation.

Our pupils enjoyed swapping their uniforms for civvies, all while supporting a cause that speaks so closely to who we are as a school. Living our Code of Honour extends beyond our classrooms and opportunities like these encourage our pupils to understand the importance of caring for and protecting the world around them, Honour the Environment.
Our Matrics added a little extra spirit to the day, arriving in their PJs as they prepared to head into their Prelim Examinations. A fun memory to add to their final year at Felixton College.

Thank you to our entire school community for getting behind another meaningful cause and helping us make a difference, together.

Our Roots Pre-primary pupils recently set off on a very special adventure to the Hidden Forest in Ballito!

From an exciting safari van ride to exploring the forest on foot, there was so much to see and discover. Our little explorers encountered capuchin, spider, squirrel and vervet monkeys, with the ring-tailed lemurs, our very own little “King Juliens”, proving to be a firm favourite!

With monkeys swinging overhead, plenty of wide-eyed excitement and lots of learning along the way, it was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to experience the natural world beyond the classroom.

A beautiful day of exploring, discovering and making special Roots memories together!

Our Felixton College High School pupils enjoyed a wonderful day of music at the Band Festival hosted by Empangeni High School, joining schools from across the region.

From marching alongside school bands to experiencing drumlines, concert and brass bands and a concert orchestra, the day offered our pupils the opportunity to see, hear and experience music in so many different forms. Our pupils also had their own moment to shine, showcasing their Marimba skills.

Experiences like these take learning beyond our own school environment, building confidence, teamwork and musicianship, while inspiring our pupils through the talents of others.

Two days of fantastic soccer, great sportsmanship and plenty of support from the sidelines marked another wonderful Felixton College Junior School Tiger Wheel & Tyre Soccer Tournament.

We were delighted to welcome schools from across Zululand to our fields and are incredibly proud of our Felixton College pupils for the way they competed and represented our school throughout the tournament.

Thank you to every participating school, the coaches, staff and officials who helped make the tournament possible, and to our parents and supporters who brought such wonderful encouragement from the sidelines.

Days like these are about so much more than the final score, they are about healthy competition, teamwork, sportsmanship and bringing our wider school community together through sport.
