Offers Piano, Drums, Beginner Guitar and Vocal Classes to Adults and School-going Children in Ballito Beginner classical piano is also available.

Jo-Anne Hoult established the studio in January 1990 and having designed an easy learning method and less formal approach to classes, has enjoyed the success of studios in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. Jo-Anne not only coaches beginners of all ages but encourages and promotes those who have a natural flair for song writing, music production and performance, as well as those who suffer with remedial learning disabilities. The syllabus, tailor-made for each student, does not include exams and each student progresses at their own pace. Vocal coaching is encouraged on an individual basis. Vocal lessons are given weekly as well as foundational 6-week classes. Jo-Anne began singing and performing at the age of 3 and playing the piano at the age of 4. Tenderly guided by her father, she was singing and writing original songs in her teens, performed locally and abroad, has appeared on South African television shows, collaborated on 6 CD productions, and has won various awards over the years. The mandate of the studio is twofold. Jo-Anne has a passion to motivate, teach and impart through music lessons on an individual basis, but is also actively involved in training musicians within local churches and providing insight and input into worship teams inter-denominationally. Individual piano and vocal classes are given in 30 minutes timeslots on a weekly basis. 45-minute classes are also available. The rates per month are as follows:
30 minutes - R 1020.00
45 minutes - R 1520.00

The costs of training of local church musicians - whether lecturing and running courses or conducting Vocal Classes over a 6 - 8-week period is dependent on the number of individuals involved. These can be negotiated on further enquiry. For further information, phone 083 289 0063.

This young lady has been a piano student for a little over a year now and has absolutely astounded me with her passion for music, the delight she takes in every massive moment of progress and the unwavering commitment to her musical journey! 🩷
Bailey has moved from beginner to intermediate phase without hesitation and we have got to a level now where while I prepare her for the advanced level of playing, she is literally working through challenging worship and contemporary songs on her own, and presenting me with completed pieces each week! 🩷
Bailey is consistent in every way! From her performance to her kind and generous nature.. She greets me with the same smile and hug each week, is always respectful and our lessons are filled with hard work, laughter and heaps of happiness! 🩷
My sweetheart, I am very proud of you and thrilled to say that you are Student of the Week! Well done Bailey! 🩷🎹🎶

With 60 years of performance, 50 albums and 3000 songs written, she gave us a lifetime of joy and now sings with the angels!

Everyone, meet the beautiful Abigail Stapelton! This precious gal only recently joined the studio and is an absolute gem! 🩷
Online classes are a challenge. Born out of necessity in the Covid years to now a new normal, online classes are not easy for a beginner student, whether it be across the country or across oceans. This young lady however, has shown me just how easy it still is when the learner is engaging, enthusiastic, well practised and passionate about developing her gifting.
Monday mornings have taken on a whole new look, and with Abi's dedication and immense talent, she is learning at an exponential rate and has stunned me with the ease of her online renditions of songs.
Well done sweetheart! Your joy is contagious and I am so soo proud of you! You are Student of the Week! Well done! 🩷🎙🎶

Everyone, meet the beautiful Ana de Oliveira! 🩷 This lovely gal joined the studio just a few months ago, and every week, she arrives enthusiastic and ready to learn more!
We had a couple of weeks break over the June/July break, and what Ana managed to achieve over that short hiatus was absolutely mind blowing!
This girl had worked all the way through her file and had completed the songs with just a couple of pieces to spare! She has grown in confidence and her passion and excitement to try something new is a beautiful thing to see!
Sweetheart, a massive well done for your accelerated progress! I am very very proud of you.. Ana, you are Student of the Week! 🩷🎹🎶

Hello everyone 🩷
Meet these beautiful siblings, Ethan and Sophia! They joined the studio towards the end of last term, and their journey into all things musical is absolutely awe-inspiring! 🎊✨️
Both started music lessons as absolute beginners and I am absolutely stunned at their rapid progress, musical aptitude and outstanding ear for music! They are learning pieces at an accelerated pace and have an understanding of the piano beyond their very young ages!
They are both a delight to teach week and I am looking forward to many more seasons together! A massive well done to you both.. I am very very proud of you! You are both Students of the Week! 💙🩷🎶🎊✨️

Everyone, meet the outstanding and exceptionally gifted Savannah 🩷✨️
This young lady has swept into the music studio and into my heart. She is always the same. Always sweet, always kind, always happy. She is a ray of sunshine and makes my time with her the quickest 45 minutes of the week!
