We were excited to welcome home-schooled learners and their parents to the Science Centre for an engaging Science Show and fun, hands-on practical activities! 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

The learners had a fantastic time exploring scientific concepts through exciting demonstrations and interactive experiments, while also enjoying the opportunity to learn, ask questions and discover the fun side of science. 🔍⚗️💡

It was a wonderful day of learning, laughter and discovery! 🌟

Yesterday, we welcomed Masakhane Primary School to the Science Centre for an exciting Chemistry Workshop! 🧪👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

Learners had the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of chemistry through fun, interactive and hands-on activities. They also enjoyed exploring our exhibits, discovering science in a fun and engaging way! 🚀🔍⚙️

🔬💻 A Day of Discovery at the Science Centre!🚀

Yesterday, we were excited to welcome learners from Ebenizer Academy, Limpopo to the Science Centre! 🌟

The learners enjoyed an engaging Science Show, explored the exciting world of coding, and discovered more through our interactive science exhibitions. 🧪🖥️🔍

It was a day filled with learning, exploration and curiosity! We hope they left inspired to keep asking questions, discovering new ideas and exploring the possibilities of STEM. 🌍✨

On Wednesday and Thursday, learners from Laerskool Frans Conradie visited the STC Centre for an exciting Science Show and explored our interactive exhibitions.

The learners enjoyed an engaging day filled with science, discovery and hands-on learning. 🌟🔍

Empowering Educators Through Artisan Development 👩‍🏫🔧

On Friday, the Nelson Mandela Bay Science & Technology Centre hosted the Artisan Ambassador Training Workshop – Life Orientation Educators Training, in partnership with DHET, EWSETA and DOE.

The training featured two insightful sessions:

📚 Session 1:Career Development and Theories
🛠️ Session 2:Artisan Development and Post-School Education

The workshop provided educators with valuable knowledge and resources to guide learners towards career opportunities, artisan development and post-school education pathways.

We are proud to support educators in empowering the next generation to make informed decisions about their future! 🌟

The Curiosity Cube is an internationally recognised mobile science laboratory designed to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of scientists. The programme, which has been successfully implemented across Europe, brings science to life through fun, interactive, and hands-on STEMI (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Innovation) experiences. Supported by scientists, industry professionals, and education partners, the initiative encourages Grade 3 - 8 learners to explore scientific concepts while introducing them to exciting career opportunities in STEMI-related fields

The Curiosity Cube Programme aims to:
•Inspire curiosity and excitement for science through interactive experiments.
•Expose learners to real-world scientific applications and innovation.
•Promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
•Increase awareness of career opportunities within the STEMI sector.
•Encourage learners to develop a lifelong interest in science and innovation.
