Registration for the 2026 May/June Senior Certificate (SC) and National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations is open. The closing date for May/June registrations is 6 February 2026, while registration for the November 2026 NSC examination closes on 13 March 2026.

NSC candidates may only register manually at their school or nearest district office. SC candidates may register at a district office or online via e-Services at eservices.gov.za

Please note that SC candidates are not eligible to write the November NSC examination.

Candidates will need a certified copy of their ID and their statement of results or Grade 9, 10 or 11 report for SC candidates to register.

The easiest way to check whether an institution is appropriately registered is to get the name of the institution, then contact the DHET Call Centre on 0800 87 2222 / [email protected]
