Looking back on an unforgettable week at Tshega School 🇿🇦

Our time at Tshega gave the boys the opportunity to step outside of their own experiences and build genuine connections through learning, laughter, and time spent together.

From joining students in the classroom and playing chess to netball, soccer, and countless moments together outside, each day brought everyone closer together.

Nearly a week later, we’re still reflecting on the students, teachers, and staff who welcomed us with open arms. We may have left Tshega, but the relationships, memories, and perspective gained there will stay with us far beyond the trip.

A week we’ll remember for a lifetime. 🇿🇦❤️

A week in the South African bush! 🇿🇦🐘🐆🦬

Last week, our group had the incredible opportunity to immerse themselves in the bush at Siyafunda. Through early morning and evening game drives, hands-on learning, and unforgettable wildlife encounters, the boys gained a deeper understanding of South Africa’s wildlife, ecosystems, and the importance of conservation.

From elephants and buffalo to giraffes, leopards, and countless other species, every drive brought something new to experience and learn from. More than just incredible sightings, the week challenged the boys to step outside their comfort zones, stay curious, and appreciate the natural world around them.

An unforgettable week at Siyafunda and memories that will last far beyond our time in South Africa. 🌍🇿🇦

The 2025 Ivy Leader group finished up a great few days at Dartmouth and is now on the plane to the Rainbow Nation! See you in South Africa!

As we approach our annual game of soccer versus the soccer team we wanted to share an update of an idea from 2 years ago that has become reality. Ivy Leader is a program that strives to make its leaders think and act towards something bigger than themselves. One of the needs in the area was a proper sports field that could provide opportunities for the students at but also for kids in the local village. This new field will open many opportunities for kids to grow and compete and gain confidence in themselves. Thanks to the support of our Ivy Leaders and families, the school has been able to resurface a field that was once covered in trees and brush. The field will have a track, soccer pitch, volleyball, net ball court and long jump pits. The first photo is the new sign put up. The second photo is a shot of green grass and the third is a photo of the dirt pitch before they started to clearing rocks, leveling the field and laying seed.

Yesterday Ivy Leader teamed up with to participate in a virtual version of . This coming Saturday, July 14 takes place with the goal to raise money and awareness for the Norris Cotton Cancer Center.

We are back at Dartmouth with a great group of leaders. Over the next few days we will prepare as a unit for our adventure over to South Africa!
