It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Masiakwala Tshepiso, our Grade 10 learner, who passed away on 06 April 2026 after a long illness.

Funeral arrangements are not yet confirmed; he will be laid to rest in Tzaneen.

During this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, classmates, and teachers. May you find strength, comfort, and peace in the memories shared and the love that surrounds you.

🌊🏆 Jiyana Secondary School Celebrates Excellence 🏆🌊

Good morning Jiyana family.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Amogelang Teffo, our Grade 11 learner, for her outstanding achievement in the Sustainable Oceans Economy Competition organized by the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment.

Amogelang won 1st position in Gauteng, an incredible accomplishment that earned her the opportunity to travel to Cape Town to represent Gauteng Province at the National Competition. 🇿🇦🌊

She was accompanied by one of our dedicated educators, Ms Magaya, who supported and guided her throughout this remarkable journey.

This prestigious competition encourages learners to research and share ideas on how South Africa can advance a sustainable oceans economy, promoting environmental awareness and responsible management of our natural resources.

Your hard work, dedication, and passion for environmental sustainability have made Jiyana Secondary School extremely proud. You continue to show that our learners can compete and excel at the highest level.
