MEC MAILE TO OFFICIALLY SWITCH ON THE SYSTEM

Gauteng MEC for Education, Sport, Arts & Culture, , will officially switch on the 2027 Online Admissions System tomorrow on Wednesday, 5 August 2026 at 08:00 AM, marking the start of Grade 1 & Grade 8 applications in the province.

We encourage parents and guardians applying for Grade 1 & Grade 8 to come to Sam Ntuli Sports Centre, Thokoza, where Gauteng Department of Education officials will be available to assist with online applications. Please bring certified copies of all required supporting documents.

The application period for Grade 1 & Grade 8 at Gauteng public schools starts today at 08:00 AM.

💻 From 08:00 AM, parents and legal guardians will be able to create a NEW Online Admissions profile and submit applications at www.gdeadmissions.gov.za. Previous usernames and passwords from earlier application periods will not work on the 2027 Gauteng Online Admissions System.

📱 Once applications open, parents can apply anytime, anywhere using a smartphone, tablet or computer.
