Our Son Surf Ladies represented so well this weekend at the LaMuse Classic. Well done to all who participated and made finals. Special mention to mienke.ridgway and Lieze Nel who won their divisions!! Surfing gives us so much fun but requires commitment and perseverance, well done! Your coach is super proud of you. Mik ;)

INTERSCHOOL TAG TEAM EVENT
On Friday our local schools met to compete in a tag team event.
Team members have to surf a set number of waves and tag the next team member in. This involved some planning and strategy, a lot of running and loads of cheering.
It was a jol! Thank you to all the parents and school teachers/organizers who came to support their Surfers.
1st: HS Parel Vallei official with 49pts
2nd: Son Surf School Invitational team with 38.5pts
3rd: Home School team with 37.5pts
4th: Hoërskool Strand with 27pts
5th Hendrik Louw Primary School with 22pts

Tip of the day:
Check your leash string! At the surf school one of the most common mistakes we see is unlooped leash strings. The string can rip right through ypur tail if it's too long. Always make a double loop! We have fixed many boards because of this easily avoidable mistake (:

Today we said goodbye to MISS Mienke Cronje, and in three weeks time we welcome her back as MRS Mienke Ridgway.
