The University of Stellenbosch Debating Union

Calling on everyone! The USDU in collaboration with WAQE (Woman and Q***r Empowerment) is having a live charity debate. Two world class debaters , Lehakoe Masedi and Corlia Kritzinger will be debating a motion on social justice.
For every viewer that watches , both the USDU and WAQE will donate R 1 each to the Covid 19 Solidarity Fund. That means if 500 people watch , that's a R 1 000 donation !!! Set reminders and tell your friends!

In an attempt to give us all something to look forward to , every week we're going to be having a live debate on Friday at 8pm - and YOU get to decide the speakers 😁 ! Check the poster to see the amazing contestants and seasoned debaters involved this week. Make sure to get your favourite to the final live debate ! Voting for round 1 just opened! Go to and vote ! Don't forget to follow for updates.

The idea is to have a debate decided entirely by the viewers. Speakers and motion themes will all be decided by you in the polls.

Jozi Rumble 2019 DCA Applications

Join us tomorrow evening for our Opening Function, 18:00 at the Van der Sterr building. We will be having a fun evening of quizzes, wine, juice, pizza and a floor debate! We hope to see plenty of new faces and some of our favourite older faces 😁
