For Stellenbosch University graduate Xichavo Irvin Makhubele, this belief shaped a journey defined by discipline, purpose and perseverance.
Raised in a close-knit, multigenerational family, he became the first in his family to attend university โ carrying both responsibility and hope. While balancing full-time work and his studies, he completed his honours degree in Public Administration through determination and focus.
Supported by his family, especially his grandmother, he remained grounded in his goals despite challenges along the way.
Now, he is committed to building a career in public service and helping others recognise the opportunities available to them.
Xichavo celebrated with his parents, Nkhensani Makhubela (left) and Henny Ngobene (right) all the way from Limpopo.
