The Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences Student Committee extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends, classmates, and loved ones of Antonio Britto, as well as the Huis Russel community.
We join the Stellenbosch University community in mourning the loss of a fellow student and honouring the impact he had on those around him. May his memory be cherished, and may his loved ones find comfort and strength during this difficult time.ποΈ

FASS Students Affected by the Floods - Important Update π’
The Dean has officially communicated with lecturers regarding academic provisions for affected students. Please note:
β’ The university programme continues as usual with some caveats
- You should continue to have access to lectures through accommodations such as recordings, online classes, or alternative arrangements.
β’ If you are unable to make it to campus for A1 assessments, communicate with your lecturer beforehand via email, do not simply miss the test.
β’ Lecturers have been advised to accommodate affected students, and you should not be unfairly penalized due to flood-related disruptions.
β’ If you experience any challenges or your concerns are not being addressed, please contact BASC via email.
Stay informed, stay in communication, and reach out if you need support. We are thinking of everyone impacted.
