Dear LiLa & the HYMAP team in Stellenbosch. I forgot..., Mountains of Men was issued, not released?... on this very day, 6th September 1966. In fact Des (Lindberg) & Ian (Lawrence) helped it escape on a 7 inch single... tunnelling it's way out on to the LM Radio charts, at 17... HOWEVER... 6 Sept 1966 was / is also the very day in which Hendrik Verwoed was assassinated in Parliament by Tsafendus... and that’s the day that Master Jack happened to become a glint in my eye; as yet to be conceived… underground. Number 4 shaft St. Helena Gold Mine. (Please note... we should still discourage those who insist that Jack was actually Hendrik, not to injure themselves by jumping to unnecessary conclusions.😅😱) - Master Jack as about 3 minutes, not about Hendrik Verwoed. 😎... although, in fairness, he could be considered the dark spark.😁. Just saying.🥰🌈🎶
