Rhenish Girls' High School

Rhenish Girls' High School Welcome to Rhenish Girls' High School, where we inspire learners to achieve excellence in all they do. It has been a State school since 1901.
(1)

Guided by our values of Compassion, Accountability, Integrity, Excellence, Diversity, and Respect. Rhenish Girlsโ€™ High School aims to provide its learners with an education of the highest quality and is committed to providing an environment that is conducive to effective teaching and learning. All learners, regardless of their abilities and backgrounds, are encouraged to develop their full potential, to strive for excellence, and to become responsible, caring and productive citizens. The Rhenish Institute was founded in May 1860 and was initially dual medium (English/German). Having celebrated our 150th Anniversary in 2010, Rhenish is the oldest girlsโ€™ school in the country and was also the first boarding school for girls. Rhenish has grown from a small school of 8 missionariesโ€™ daughters in 1860 to our current enrolment of 706 girls, of which 150 stay in the hostel.

On Day 1 of the last term, a group of Rhenishers visited the Two Oceans Aquarium to learn more about the important work being done to protect and care for our marine life.

A big thank you to the Two Oceans Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation for the incredible work you do, and for educating and inspiring our learners to play their part in protecting our oceans.

Earlier this year, rheco_rghs raised funds which will go directly to the Foundation. If you would still like to contribute, please email [email protected].
