Goldfields is the oldest mixed gender koshuis on campus and was originally built in 1987 as a koshuis for coloured students at Stellenbosch University.
Goldfields Residence was established in 1987 as an official University of Stellenbosch residence, accommodating both female and male students that live according to these values:
• respect,
• responsibility,
• freedom and
• unity. Goldfields residents are very proud of their history, which in many ways placed Goldfields at the forefront of developments in the new South Africa. Goldfields’ values a
