On Thursday, 19 February 2026, Prof. Yoshiaki Terumichi from Sophia University, delivered a lecture at SUβs Faculty of Engineering. The title of the lecture was: βModelling of Railway Vehicle Motion during Large Earthquake.β It was a fascinating lecture, introducing our students to innovations underlying the Shinkansen in Japan. π π―π΅

The International Network of Universities (INU) invites students from member universities to participate in the International Student Seminar for Global Citizenship and Peace 2026, hosted by Hiroshima University (4β12 August 2026).
This yearβs theme:
βUN SDGs and sustainable economic development.β
The 9-day programme brings together students from around the world for lectures, workshops, intercultural exchange, and a United Nations General Assembly role-play, while also marking the anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.
