"Initially, I was unsure whether I should study theology. I feared getting confused, being misled. I did not have confidence in my capacity to discern error when challenged with different viewpoints on aspects of my faith. Looking back, engaging in formal study was unsettling, yet transformative in all the best ways! I discovered an incredible depth in God's Word, one that I will not be able to fully master in this life. I was humbled by the testimony of the Saints throughout history who laid the foundation in many aspects of our Faith that we take for granted today. I learned that I could trust God's Spirit in the process of discernment. Ultimately, I discovered that truth is not a set of prepositions, but the Person of Jesus Christ. He is the lens through whom we can see, although in part for now. May we take God's command to rightly divide the Word seriously, and view it as our privilege and our duty to diligently delve into His Word until He returns. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus."
