🖤 *Today, we wear black — not because it is just a colour, but because it represents the grief carried by so many.*
We mourn the mothers who never came home.
The daughters whose lives were taken too soon.
The sisters, wives, friends and colleagues whose names have become another painful reminder of the violence women face in our country.
Behind every statistic is a *life. A family. A story. A future that was stolen.*
As a staff, we stand together in silence, in sadness and in solidarity. We stand for the women who can no longer stand for themselves. We stand for those who are afraid to speak. We stand for those still fighting to be heard.
*We are tired of mourning. We are tired of saying “another woman has been killed.” We are tired of losing our women.*
May our black clothing carry a message louder than words ever could:
*Enough.
Protect our women.
Value our women.
Listen to our women.
Let our women live. 🖤🇿🇦*
