We are incredibly proud of our Under-13 Girls’ Chess Team! 🏆💙

After two days of tough competition against 12 schools, our girls achieved an outstanding 4th place overall! 🎉👏

We couldn’t be prouder of these young chess stars! 🌟 They showed determination, focus, teamwork and true sportsmanship throughout the competition.

Well done, girls! You represented our school with pride! 💙🤍♟️

A huge congratulations to our Devon Valley Primary School Under 13 Girls Chess Team for being crowned Cape Winelands Top Schools Champions!

The girls displayed outstanding focus, determination, and teamwork throughout six challenging rounds to secure 1st place, earning gold medals and qualifying to represent the Cape Winelands at the Western Cape Top Schools Championships on 5–6 September 2026.
