Xola Njengele, one of our PGDip students, has been elected as Chairperson of Stellenbosch University's SRC for 2021!

The Master’s Programme in Sustainable Development, offered by Stellenbosch University in collaboration with the Sustainability Institute, is made up of two formal degrees, the first at an honours level and the second at a master’s level.

We mourn the loss of an alumnus, colleague and friend who has touched and inspired countless lives across the globe.

Concert for the Biocene: As lockdown saw society recede into the walls of their homes, nature silently crept into many of the places—in the cities and in the margins—which humans vacated. The concert organisers of Barcelona's Liceu Opera House therefore decide that, as Spain begins to reopen and its people reclaim the spaces they lost, it should be plants that receive the honour of the first performance of the reopened Opera House.

These lovely people did only two block modules in the awesome learning environment provided by the Sustainability Institute before South Africa's national Covid-19 lockdown. Missing you guys!!! Online learning will be different but our fantastic lecturers will be supporting you all the way. Keep safe and hang in there and.... wash your hands! Keeping fingers crossed that we will see one another sooner rather than later.💟
